Description
The elegant stock carved of hardwood, with fine silver furniture comprising buttcap, wrist, triggerguard and barrel band, all elaborately embossed and chased in characteristic baroque motifs. The fine Italian flintlock with subtle raised chiseled vegetal panels, the barrel of a type often found on high-quality djeferdar muskets, with raised panel at the breech and swamped muzzle, lavishly true-inlaid in silver overall in characteristic geometrical motifs. 1750-1775. Minor wear, small damage to wood and silver. Overall length 43cm./ 16 15/16 inches. Condition III
