Description
German or Dutch, with well-wrought steel hilt of characteristic form with spherical pommel and pierced shell guards. Grip retains complex steel wire wrap and turkshead knots. The long, elegant saber blade finely fullered and single-edged, with circular makers mark at the left forte. Mid- 17th century. Well worn overall. Overall length 97.5cm./ 38 3/8 inches. Condition III
