Of characteristic form, the grip carved of a single section of walrus with silver mounts. The broad, straight, leaf-shaped blade with gold-inlaid cartouches, wrought of very fine twistcore pattern welded damascus steel. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with embossed and engraved silver mounts. 19th century. Stable crack to grip, minor pitting to tip of blade. Overall length 42.4cm. Condition III
