A fighting sword, with polished antler grips and steel guard and pommel of characteristic form. The blade of moderate curvature with elegant taper toward the tip, forged of very fine Persian black wootz, faintly visible. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard. Late18th-19th century. Blade with scattered pitting, leather scuffed. Overall length 93.5cm. Condition III
