Description
With deep overall patina, and characteristic convex pommel with stepped grip, the tangband of rare form, rolled around the periphery in order to retain and protect what were likely precious grips. The straight, double-edged blade tapering continuously to the tip, with pronounced central rib, and retaining some original sharpness. 800-1200 b.c.e. Good excavated condition. Overall length 44cm.
