The iron hilt of characteristic form inlaid overall with silver pointwork and zigzag borders, the lightly-curved, fullered blade wrought of actively- patterned fine black wootz. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with en suite suspension band. 18th-19th century. Areas of pitting, velvet refreshed. Overall length 88.7cm. Condition III
