Description
The grips carved of horn with nielloed silver mounts, combining both Kubachi and Circassian decorative motifs. The broad, bifullered blade with offset fuller and tapering point, struck with a maker?s signature, ALI. The velvet -covered wooden scabbard with large engraved and nielloed mounts decorated en suite with those of the hilt. Early 19th century. Losses to reverse grip. Overall length 37cm. Condition III
