A rare example with spiral-carved hardwood grip and brass mounts, the fine, straight, double-edged blade fullered and elaborately etched and gilded at the forte with an imposing coat of arms bearing the Bourbon crest among others together with a large, superimposed cross. Second half of the 18th century. Worn, edge nicks. Overall length 77.7cm. Condition IV
