Description
Of characteristic straight, double-edged form with pronounced central rib and obtuse point characteristic of the Luristan culture of west central Iran. Spike tang with flared ferrule would originally have been fitted with a wooden haft. With deep green patination overall. C. 1600-1200 b.c.e. Overall length 55cm. Very good excavated condition.
