Description
The fine staghorn grip set with hair tassels and elaborately carved with aso and leech motifs, the well-wrought, lightly-curved heirloom blade fullered, with characteristic krowit projections at the base, expanding continuously to the tip with an elaborately-engraved panel at the spine. In its carved wooden scabbard with rattan bindings. Late 19th-early20th century. Minor wear, gum base restored. Overall length 72cm. Condition II
