A type closely associated with the Winged Hussars, the wrought steel head of characteristic form with square hammer, profiled langets and curved, quadrangular back spike. The wooden haft covered in worn leather, the mounts of steel with incised borders. First half of the 17th century. Pitted overall. Overall length 72cm. Condition IV
