Description
The grips with original leather covering, the guard wrought of Persian wootz with elongated quillons. The fine, broad blade of shallow curvature with elegant taper toward the tip, forged of very fine Persian black wootz. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with touches of gilt and embossed and engraved silver locket and steel mounts. First half of the 18th century. Section of pommel lacking, chape damaged. Overall length 96cm. Condition II
