Of characteristic form, the grips of polished antler bound with velvet and gilt wire galloon at the base, with steel pommel, guard, tangbands and chape all finely chiseled in interlacing palmette motifs with vinework borders. The long, elegant blade wrought of actively-grained Persian black wootz. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard. Mid-18th century. Leather refreshed. Overall length 98cm. Condition II
