Description
An earlier than average example, the wooden grip well-carved with aso motifs. The hardwood scabbard likewise intricately carved. The blade unusually robust and chisel-edged, with profiled spine. Retains its belt with tasseled closure. 19th-20th century. Minor wear and losses, blade with pitting. Overall length 55.7cm. Condition III
