Description
Reresenting an early stage in the development of the type, the karabela-style grips of elephant, with fingerstalls, the tangbands and bolsters of silver. The long, robust blade slightly bellied, with acute armor-piercing tip, showing its layered construction and with an untranslated Arabic inscription at the right forte. 18th-19th century. Blade pitted. Overall length 49.5 cm / 19 1/2". Condition III
