Safavid Dynasty, the blade wrought of superior Persian black wootz damascus steel, tapering toward the tip, with a chiseled trefoil panel at the base of the spine and wootz bolsters, the handsomely-grained walrus grips with copper spacers. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with gilt binding. Latter 17th century. Worn overall, scabbard covering refreshed. Overall length 30.9 cm / 12 1/8". Condition III
