Description
A rarely encountered example, of characteristic form, but mounted entirely in silver, the hilt filigreed and set with turquoise, the gripped wrapped entirely with silver wire, the scabbard finely embossed and chased and filigreed with inlaid turquoises. The double-edged blade handforged, with light curvature and raised central ridge. Latter 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 38.5 cm / 15 1/8". Condition II
