Description
Mounted in Damascus style, with steel pommel and brass guard with horn grips. The Ottoman blade robust and well-wrought, with substantial yelman back edge and inlaid silver panels. Appears to show traces of wootz construction. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with silver-inlaid steel mounts. 19th century. Minor wear overall, leather refreshed. Overall length 98.6cm / 38 3/4". Condition III
