Description
Likely French, the elegant silver hilt superbly chiseled and pierced, throughout, with the oval guard with pierced border and flower terminals, the fine, straight, double-edged blade of flamberge type, etched with vinework and struck with oval marks at the forte, with fine central fuller running all the way to the tip at either side. Mid-18th century. Overall length 100.4 cm / 39 1/2". Condition II
