Privately made, likely for an officer of cavalry, the stirrup hilt of brass, with rolled quillon terminal. The wooden grip with brass ferrule and leather covering largely intact. The exeptionally long blade well-wrought blade curved, single-edged and fullered. Beginning of the 19th century. Worn. Overall length 103.2 cm / 40 1/2". Condition III
