A massive example, the ebony grip inlaid with silver neoclassical panels, with engraved silver ferrule, guard, tangbands and knuckle chain. Fitted with a robust broadsword blade, double-edged and spear-tipped. 17th-18th century. Wear and minor losses to silver. Overall length 98 cm / 38 1/2".
