Rarely encountered, of characteristic rectangular form with central ridge, of hardened water buffalo hide decorated with images of skulls and vertebrae, with original banded wicker sling and suspension system intact to reverse. 19th century. Worn, slight warping. Overall length 68cm / 26 3/4". Condition III
