A rare example, likely Visayan work. The broad, handforged blade deeply bellied and showing signs of layered construction. The grip a single section of dark horn well-carved in relief, comprising compartments of floral vines and terminating in a fully-modeled fist, with brass ferrule. 20th c. ferrule slightly loose. Overall length 34.3 cm / 13 1/2". Condition III
