Crafted from a single section of bovine metatarsal bone, and finely carved with a neoclassical scene of Eros amusing Aphrodite as she plays the harp, between Greek Key and acanthus borders. With separately-applied turned brass spout and copper base. 17th- 18th century. Minor losses, stable crack, the spout possibly replaced. Overall length 19cm / 7 ?" . Condition II
