Description
The waisted shirmani grip finely carved overall with a Persian king, courtiers and children in traditional dress, bordered with inscriptions. The curved, double-edged blade forged of Persian black wootz, with chiseled panel at either side of the forte depicting a lion hunting inlaid in gold, and strong central rib. In its tooled leather-covered scabbard with silver chape. Mid-19th century. Worn. Overall length 36cm. Condition IV
