A captured piece, the crested grip carved of banati wood with woven rattan wrap to base. The massive, handforged blade showing layered forging. In its rattan-bound wooden scabbard with rare incised soldier’s monogram. Second half of the 19th century. Minor wear overall. Overall length 62cm. Condition III
