The steel hilt of characteristic form, elaborately and intricately inlaid in silver and gold, the broad blade wrought of superior black wootz with characteristic scarf-weld and retaining some original edge. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard. Latter 18th c. Minor corrosion to hilt, velvet rubbed. Overall length 94cm. Condition III
