Description
A rare type of armor rarely encountered during the Middle Ages in Europe. Exceptionally well made, comprising a full hauberk with hood and chausses with integral feet, and composed entirely of small, triangular plates stitched to a padded canvas backing in a continuously-overlapping pattern, the hauberk vented for use in the saddle. With its barbute-style helmet of steel. C. 1830 or later. Minor losses to scales. Overall length of hauberk 101cm. Mannequin will be included if desired at additional shipping charge. Condition III
