The steel hilt with small cupguard and elaborate knucklebow, wrought entirely of steel and showing the considerable skills of the smith, including wrenching, profiling and punching, the pommel chiseled with a crest. The long, straight, double-edged blade with interrupted fullers. Early 19th century. Worn overall. Overall length 122.5cm. Condition III
