Description
Likely made in Hyderabad for a Hadhrami client, the fine hilt wrought entirely in silver, of characteristic form, with knuckle chains intact. Mounted with a long, fullered and hollowground single-edged blade with back edge, expanding at the tip and retaining its original bright polish. In its en suite silver scabbard with engraved borders and panels. Late 18th-early 19th century. Overall length 87cm. Condition I
