The hardwood stock crved with a stag’s head and inlaid with brass vinework motifs, the brass buttplate, counterplate and triggerguard engraved. The fine flintlock mechanism superbly chiseled in relief, the massive damascus steel barrel with flared muzzle elaborately inlaid with chiseled silver panels in vinework motifs, with the owner’s name MEHMET QANDIL inlaid in silver on the tang. With bone ramrod and saddle ring intact. 19th century. Minor wear, losses to brass inlay. Overall length 49.5cm. Condition II
