Description
A rarely encountered form, the octagonal horn grip with cusped silver ferrule, terminating in a broad, angled pommel, the profiled steel guard with rolled quillon and recurved knucklebow and oval guard. The fullered blade with radiused tip and back edge with pitting. In its wooden scabbard retaining a small amount of leather. Latter 18th century. Overall length 94cm. Condition III
