Made for a datu, the banati wood grip with elaborately scrolled and pierced crest, tapered ferrule and long, handwrought blade. In its rattan-wrapped, hardwood scabbard, the throat well-carved with okir motifs. First quarter of the 20th century. Minor wear. Overall length 62cm. Condition II
