Description
The finely carved grip with characteristic rolled pommel and well-detailed flowers. The blade of complex form, recurved and forged of intricately-grained wootz damascus steel, with profiled T-back and chamfered edge, with a raised central ridge developing from a finely-chiseled floral panel at the center of the blade which continues to the tip. The forte with large and elaborately chiseled panels involving intertwining vinework. 16th-17th century. The grip with stable crack. Overall length 34.5cm. Condition III
