Description
A rare type, with large, one piece shirmani grip, wasted and faceted. The straight, double-edged blade tapering acutely to an armor-piercing tip with chiseled central panel to either side showing a dark Turkish wootz damascus steel pattern. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with turned shirmani tip. First half of the 18th century. Velvet rubbed. Overall 51.5cm. Condition II
