Description
A rare type, with silvered lotus-form grip decorated with flowering vines. The straight, double-edged blade tapering acutely to an armor-piercing tip with chiseled central panel showing a fine wootz damascus steel pattern. The silvered scabbard with wooden core embossed and chased en suite with the hilt, depicting Ottoman baroque motifs, the locket worked entirely geometrical flowered bands. Mid-18th century. Minor wear. Overall 50cm. Condition II
