Description
French work, a transitional type, the steel hilt very finely chiseled with foliate motifs and set with faceted beads, the grip elegantly bound in twisted silver wire. The blade long and straight, with pronounced central ridge and finely etched panel at the forte on each side. Latter 17th century. Light wear. Overall length 100.5cm Condition III
