The steel hilt with knucklebow elaborately inlaid in silver, the broad blade well-forged of wootz with central fuller, the broad chamfered edge retaining considerable sharpness. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard retaining a handwritten collection tag in Arabic characters. Latter 18th century. Light wear. Overall length 80cm. Condition II
