Description
Likely German or Dutch, the hilt of silver with horn grips, the broad, double-edged blade retaining original polish, marked IACOBI at the left forte and dated 1762 at the right forte. In its silver mounted leather scabbard with en suite by-knife struck with an I maker’s mark. Dated 1762. Very light wear, locket lacking. Overall length 66.5cm. Condition III
