Of characteristic form, the elephant grips with pronounced ears, the silver ferrule and tangband engraved and embossed. The recurved, single-edged blade with well-forged of pattern welded twistcore damascus steel. The silver scabbard elaborately embossed and chased in relief in Sebian floral and vine motifs. First half of the 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 37cm/ 14.5”. Condition II
