The steel head of polylobate form, wrought with numerous profiled steel flanges with integral socket and button finial finely inlaid overall with fine gold and silver vinework. The wooden haft covered in velvet set with silver studs, the steel grip inlaid in gold and silver en suite with the head. 17th century. Velvet likely a working life replacement. Overall length 59.4cm/ 23.38”. Condition III
