With waisted elephant grip set with a silver boss at the pommel and curved, double-edged blade forged of Persian black wootz, with chiseled panel at either side of the forte depicting a lion hunting, and strong central rib. In its leather-covered scabbard with finely engraved silver locket and chape. Mid-19th century. Worn. Grip with stable cracks. Overall length 27.6cm / 10.86 inches. Condition III
