Description
Very rarely encountered, of characteristic form, fashioned entirely of leather with elongated spout and circular base. Finished with lacing, the handwrought suspension hook intact. Mid-18th century. Light wear and rubbing. Overall height 32cm/ 12.5”. A number of such water flasks are preserved in the Askeri Muzesi, Istanbul. Condition II
