A high quality example of characteristic form, of leather elaborately embellished with gilded embroidery in characteristic flowering vinework together with the Ottoman tugra, edged in gilt braid. Suspension loops intact. 20th century. Possibly made for the 500th anniversary of the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople in October 1953.Overall length 47cm/ 16.1”. Condition III
