Description
An earlier example with fixed blade, the robust head and haft forged of steel with brass inlay to the obverse and turned wooden grip. Mid- 19th century. Light wear overall. Such picks were used against British mounted units to great effect during the Afghan Wars. Overall length 39cm/ 15.35”. Condition II
