Javanese work, the form incorporating many characteristics of Dutch hunting swords of the 18th-19th century. Mounted in well-engraved and embossed silver throughout, with stag grip. The fine, pattern-welded damascus blade of robust proportions. In its wooden scabbard mounted en suite with the hilt. Second half of the 19th century. Overall length 52.5cm/ 20.7”. Wear and rubbing. Condition III
