A massive example, the hilt carved of a single large section of shirmani, the fine blade broad and curved, wrought with complex fullers and engraved with a sun in splendor, moon and stars. With a large Caucasian makers stamp at the left forte, possibly inscribed BISMILLAH. Mid-19th century. Minor areas of cleaned pitting. Overall length 94cm / 37?.
