Selling with Auctions Imperial

If you are interested in selling arms, armor or related items, whether an entire collection or a single item, Auctions Imperial is an excellent choice. We are preferred by collectors, dealers and museums throughout the world.

Evaluation

First, your property is evaluated by our specialists. We can either meet with you by appointment or provide an estimate via email. To arrange an appointment, call us at +1(323) 851-2345 or email info@auctionsimperial.com.
By email, please send with clear, detailed images of your item(s). We will respond at the earliest opportunity.

Deciding to Sell

Based on the results of the valuation, Auctions Imperial may offer to take your property on consignment for auction. You will then sign a contract, and Auctions Imperial will take the property in for cataloging and photography.

Shipping

As the consignor, you are responsible for packing, shipping and insuring your items for transportation to us. In some cases, we may be able to arrange pick-up of  the property from you.

Seller’s Contract

The Consignment Agreement sets forth the seller’s reserve price and Auctions Imperial’s seller’s fee.

Reserve Price

The reserve is the confidential minimum selling price to which you, the consignor, and Auctions Imperial agree before the sale – it is the figure below which no bid will be accepted. If bidding on your item fails to reach the reserve, we will not sell the piece and will advise you of your options. It is important to consider the reserve price carefully; Auctions Imperial does assess buy-back fees and handling costs for unsold lots.

Seller’s Commission

Sellers will pay a commission that is deducted, along with any other agreed-upon expenses, from the hammer price. Please call our offices for further information.

Payment

Shortly after the sale, you will receive an itemized statement containing the final hammer price for each item you consigned.

We will send payment within 35 days from the date we receive the buyer’s full payment.
