Dating to the early Turkish Republic, with fine engraved and nielloed silver mounts, the handwrought blade with acute thrusting tip inscribed by the maker, M. MUMTAZ / YATAGAN MAKER 1932. The haft with silver wire wrap embellishment to the center, possibly a repair, and nielloed silver chape. Dated 1932. Overall length 91.2cm / 35 7/8?. Condition III
