Highly valued by the Moro Peoples. Of characteristic form, with molded cascabel, the trunnion with raised central motif. On its rare two-wheeled bronze carriage. Well-patinaed. C. 1850-1900. Well worn, minor losses. Such cannon were popular throughout Borneo and the Moro lands, where they were used in battle, on shipboard, on the rails of longhouses to repel pirates, and as part of the dowry.
